Roger Chandler married Mary Simonds on April 25, 1671, according to records from Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. Roger Chandler and John Barker purchased 110 acres of upland in Concord from Stephen Hall on February 6, 1684; a transcription of this deed has been provided below CO43:
Stephen Halls Deed unto Jno Barker & Roger Chandler,
To all Christian People to whom these p[r]esents may Come, Greeting, Know ye that I Stephen hall of the Towne of Stow, in ye County of Mddx. in the massachusets Collony for and in Consideration of what received in hand of John Barker, & Roger Chandler of the Towne of Concord to my sattisfaction and Content, The receit where of I do by these p[r]esents Acknowledge and there with tobe fully sattisfyed and Contented, and of Every part and parcell there of, And do fully Clearly and Absolutely Acquitt Exonerate & discharge them the sayd John Barker & Roger Chandler, their Heirs Administrators & Assignes for ever by these p[r]esents, Have granted Bargained, & sold, Alyened Enfeoffed, & Confirme, and by these p[r]esents do fully clearly and Absolutely Grant Bargaine and sell, Alyen Enfeoff & Confirme unto them the sayd John Barker and Roger Chandler one Hundred & Ten Acres of upland, at ye old Hog pen, Lying and being within the Bounds of Concord Lying in the north quarter of thesd [the said] Towne, and is Bounded, on the Towns new Grant, west, & John Jones Land north, & Richard Temples Land south, & on Roger Chandlers lands east, To Have & to Hold the above granted & Bargained p[r]emises, with the privelidges there to belonging, unto them the sd John Barker, & Roger Chandler, Their Heirs & assignes for Ever, To them & their only proper use & behoofe, And I the above named stephen Hall for me my Heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covennt promise & Grant to and with the above named John Barker and Roger Chandler their Heirs and Assignes by these p[r]esesents [presents], That I the sayd stephen Hall have Good Right full power and Lawfull Authority to grant Bargaine & Confirme the above Granted and Bargained p[r]emises, unto them the sd John Barker & Roger Chandler their Heirs and assignes for ever, And that the sd John Barker and Roger chandler their Heires Assignes shall & may at all times and from time to time for ever here after peaceably, have hold occupy possess and enjoy ye above Granted p[r]emises wt the privelidges and Appurtenances there to belonging, without the Let denyall, disturbance or Contradiction of me the said Stephen Hall and Ruth Hall my wife our Heirs Executors Administrators or Assignes them or any of them or any other person or persons Lawfully Clayming or having any Right Title or Interest therein, or in any part there of by from or under me, or by any other Lawfull wayes or meanes what so ever In Witness where of I the above named Stephen Hall as also Ruth my wife in Acknowledgement of her free Consent to this my Act and Deed, have heer unto put our hands & seals, this p[r]esent six day of february, in the year of our Lord, one Thousand six hundred Eighty and four

From 1687 until 1690, Roger Chandler witnessed five deeds in which John Barker, Sr. of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts purchased land from five different men from Concord CO43. The grantors of these five deeds were John Smedly, Sr. on January 21, 1687, John Wheeler, Sr. on April 16, 1688, Richard Temple, Sr. of Concord on February 27, 1689, and Samuell Butterick and Thomas Browne, whose deeds were each dated on May 28, 1690 CO43. Roger Chandler, the husband of Mary, died at about age eighty on January 11, 1716/17, according to the records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. Roger Chandler of Concord called himself a cooper in his last will and testament, which was written on November 6, 1705 proved on April 16, 1717, which was also the date on which the administration of his estate was granted to his widow and executrix, Mary Chandler AM1.
A transcription of his will follows AM1:
I Roger Chandler of Concord in the County of Middx within the province of the Massachusett Bay in New England Cooper, Being grown Aged, & weake of Body, but of perfect minde & memmory. Thankes be to god therefore; Calling to mind the mortalytie of my Body, and knowing that it is Appointed for all men once to dye, Do make this my Last will & testament, That is to say first & principly, I give & Recommend my soul in to the hands of God that gave it, and for my Body I committ it unto the Earth to be buryed at the discresion of friends in a decent manner, Nothing doubting but at ye Generall Resurrection I shall receive the same again, be ye mighty power of God. And as touching such worldly Estate, as it hath pleased Allmighty to bestow upon me in this life, I do Give devise & of the same [the previous word is uncertain because it is obscured with a dark mark] in manner following.
Imprimis, I do will & order that all my Just debts and funerall charges shall be payd and discharged by my Executrix here after mentioned.
Item I do will & bequeath unto my onely son (viz) Samuel Chandler, The sum of one Hundred pounds, That is to say with what he hath all rady received of me, which is sixty five pounds and the remaine, wch is Thirty five pounds I do Appoint my Exeutrix to pay unto him.
It[em] I do will and bequeath unto my Eldest daughter (viz) mary Heald the sum of fifty pounds That is to say, with what she hath all redy received, which is thirty seven pound the remaining part to make it up fifty being Thirteen pounds I do Appoint & ord my Executrix to pay ye Same
It[em] I do will & bequeath unto my Daughter Abegail Brown fifty pounds wth what she hath all redy received wch is Thirty two pounds & ye remaining part wch is Eighteen pounds I do Appoint and order my Executrix to pay the same.
It[em] I do will and bequeath unto my youngest daughter (viz) Hephzibah Jones no more then what she hath all redy received, of me wch is fifty pounds, and that doth make her fully Equall with her two sisters. Finally unto mary my beloved wife in token of my love & Good will & for to retalitale [the meaning of the previous word is uncertain] unto her for her love to & care of me all the rest of my whole Estate, both reall and prsonall of what kind & nature so Ever, for to be at her own free use & sole disposall (Ecept I shold dispose of some part of ye same in the time of my life) And her my sd beloved wife I do make ordain & Constitute to be my sold Executrix of this my last will and testement And if I shold happen to pay any part of ye Legacyes before mentioned that she is ordered within my will to pay, There shall be so much abated of ye prticular sum or sums so Appointed by her to pay respectively. And I do hereby utterly disanull & make voyd all & Every other will and Testament by me made at any time before this, Ratefying and Confirming this my Last will, and this my will let no man strive to breake.

John Heald, Mary Heald, Joseph Fletcher, Hepzibah Fletcher, Eleazar Brown, and Abigail Brown signed a notice to the court which stated “Concord may 9th. 1717 this may certifie aney whom it doth or may consirn that we Shall upon no acount what so ever object aney thing against that which our Honoured Father Chandler left as his last will but desire it may bee Excpted and Confirmed” AM1.
Mary Simonds (William, Judith) was born to William Simonds on December 9, 1647, according to the records of Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts JO12. Her birth record in Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts stated “Mary daughter of Will.m Simonds borne 9th of 10th mo 1647” WO12. The probate record for her father, William Simons of Woburn who died in June 1672, listed the ages of his children but failed to record their names; Mary was likely referred to as “the third daughter” whose age on June 12, 1672 was twenty-four MA64. She was mentioned in the division of her father’s estate on May 14, 1674 MI28:
To Joseph the second son wee have appointed his portion at the farme [the previous word is uncertain] in Cambridg Bounds beinge the hows ad Barne: with all the lower feild adjoyning to the hows with atract of land next it one the playen [probably “plain”] to the value of seaven acres and also atract of land about thurteene acres one the south East Corner too divissions of medow in Bowe medow ad too portions more in Carpenters [the previous word is uncertain because the ink ran together, obscuring the letters] medow next his hows hee keeping all this land is to paye to his sister mary twenty three pound seven shillings and ten pence

Mary Chandler was born on January 7, 1671 MA26 or January 7, 1672 MA27 to Roger and Mary Chandler, according to the records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26, MA27.
Samewell Chandler, the son of Roger and Mary Chandler, was born on March 3, 1673/4, according to the records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. Samll Chandler and Dorcas Bus, both of Concord, were married by Justice Linde on December 11, 1695, according to the records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, which also recorded the births of eight children born to Samuel (or Samll) and Dorcas (or Dorcus or Darkos) MA26. These were Elizebeth (or Elisabeth), who was born on October 6, 1696 but died on October 18, 1712, Mary, who was born on September 22, 1699, Joseph, born on October 11, 1701, Samll, born on October 19, 1704, John, born on January 11, 1706/7, Huldeth, born on July 5, 1709, Rebeckah, born on December 2, 1711, and James, born on August 28, 1714 MA26. Samuel Chandler was called the only son of Roger Chandler in his will dated November 6, 1705 AM1. The records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts stated that Mr. Samuel Chandler, the husband of Dorcas, died at age seventy on April 27, 1743, and that Mrs. Dorcas Chandler, the relict of Samuel, died at age eighty-four on January 13, 1757 MA26.
Joseph Chandler, the son of “Rogr Chandler”, was born on the 7th day of the 8th month, 1678, but died on the 14th day of the 9th month, 1679, according to the records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26.
Abigail Chandler, the daughter of “Rogr Chandler”, was born on the 31st day of the 3rd month, 1681, according to the records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. Abegail Brown was called a daughter of Roger Chandler in his will dated November 6, 1705, and on May 9, 1717, Eleazar and Abigail Brown both signed a notice to the Middlesex probate court which indicated they would not object to Roger Chandler’s last will and testament AM1. Eleazar Brown married Abigail (probably Abigail Chandler) sometime before 1700, probably in Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts TO1. Abigail and Eleazer Brown were the parents of two children whose births were recorded in Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. These were Samuel, born on December 8, 1700, and Eleazer, born on March 20, 1703 MA26. Abigail (or Abegail, Abigaiel, or Abigaill) and Elieazer (or Eleazer) Brown were the parents of ten children whose births were recorded in Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. These were Nathan, born on May 29, 1704, Abegail, born on February 4, 1705/6, Mary, born on September 14, 1708, Zacariah, born on November 21, 1710, Benjamin, born on April 14, 1713, Bridget, born on April 11, 1715, Abishai, born on October 1, 1717, Ezekiel, born on July 13, 1720, Mary, born on September 2, 1723, and Hephzibah, born on November 29, 1725 MA26. The records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts state that Eleazer Brown, the husband of Abigail, died at age seventy-nine on April 3, 1755, and that Mrs. Abigail Brown died at age eighty-five on March 29, 1766 MA26.
Hephzibah Chandler was (as Hephzibah Jones) called Roger’s youngest daughter in his will dated November 6, 1705 AM1. Hephsibeth Chandler and Ephraim Jones, both of Concord, were married by Reverend Joseph Estabrook on April 15, 1701, according to the records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. They were the parents of four children whose births or deaths were recorded in Concord and Boston MA26. Mary Jones, the daughter of Hephsebah and Ephraim, was born on January 21, 1703, Ephraim Jones, the son of Hephseba and Ephraim, was born on September 20, 1706, Joseph Jones, the son of Hephsibeth and Ephraim, died on March 21, 1708/9, and Hephzabeth Jones, the daughter of Hiphzabeth and Ephraim, was born on May 20, 1710, according to records from Concord and Boston, Massachusetts MA26. Eaphraim Jones, the husband of Hiphzabeth, died on October 7, 1710 after injuries sustained from timber falling upon his body, according to the records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, which also stated that Hipzabeth Jones and Joseph Fletcher were married on July 11, 1711 by Justice Minott MA26. They were the parents of five children whose births were recorded in Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. These were Peeter Fletcher, the son of Hephzebeh and Joseph, who was born on May 10, 1716, Daniel Fletcher, the son of Hiphziba and Joseph, who was born on October 18, 1718, Charles Fletcher, the son of Hephzibah and Joseph, who was born on April 11, 1721, Elijah Fletcher, the son of Hephzebah and Joseph, who was born on August 25, 1723, and Ruth Fletcher, the daughter of Hephzibah and Joseph, who was born on October 17, 1726 MA26. Deacon Joseph Fletcher died in Acton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts on September 11, 1746 MA26.
