Parling
(John, Mary), the son of John and Mary Parling, was born on July 11, 1689,
according to the records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. John Parling and Mary
Heald, both of Concord, were married by Justice Mionott
on May 12, 1718 in Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26.
On
January 20, 1730/31, John Parling, Jr. and Jonathan Melvin, both yeomen of
Concord, jointly purchased a parcel of 125 acres of land in Concord Village,
Middlesex County, Massachusetts for “the sum of two hundred
and fifteen pounds money” from John Flint, Esquire, Thomas Flint, and
Edward Flint, who were all yeomen of Concord MI29. On March 22, 1730/31, John Parling, Jr. purchased Jonathan
Melvin’s half or share in this parcel of land MI29:

All People to whom These Presents may Come, Know ye that I Jonathan Melvin of
Concord in the County of Middlesex in the Province of the Massachusetts Bay in
New, England Yeoman for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred and
Seven Pounds Passable money to me secured at the Signing here of by John
Parling Junr of said Concord yeoman Do hereby Give Grant
Bargain Sell Convey and Pass, over to said John Parling his heirs and assigns
forever all my right title Intrest Claime and Demand whatsoever unto and in the one half of
one hundred and twenty five acres In Concord villedge
or new Grants of Land Lying in the North westerly Part of Said Concord lying in
a Lott Number twenty five viz the half on’ Northerly Side of the Lott as the
Line is now Stated by markt trees and heaps of Stones
there being four acres allowed in the Lott for a highway or ways the the whole of which lott I and
Said Parling Purchased Joyntly and together and I the
Said Jonathan Melvin for me my heirs Executors and administrators Do hereby
forever Renounce all right Claim and Demand to the Premises… In witness whereof

Mary Heald (John,
Mary), the daughter of John and Mary Heald, was born on August 18, 1691,
according to records from Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. She was said to have been the daughter of John and Mary
(Chandler) Heald who was born in 1691 PA22.
Mary and John Parlin were the parents of John, Lydia,
Esther, and Stephen Parlin MA26, and they were probably the parents of Amos and Elizabeth Parlin PA22.
John
Parling, the son of John and Mary Parling, was born on February 8, 1718
in Littleton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. John Parlin of Concord and Margrett McCollo of Rutland were married on April 2, 1745 in
Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts in a ceremony conducted by Reverend
Davis Bliss MA26. John and Margaret Parlin were the parents of ten children whose births were
recorded in Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. These were John, born on August 22, 1745, Azubah,
born on November 26, 1747, Nathan, born on January 1, 1749, Hephzibath,
born on February 22, 1753, Jonas, born on November 24, 1755, Eleazer, born on
June 1, 1758, Silas, born on August 15, 1760, Mary, born on July 24, 1763, Thaddevs (Thaddeus), born on August 15, 1766, and Jonathan,
born on August 4, 1769 MA26. They
were also said to have been the parents of Tebua and
Sally, who was born about 1772 PA22.
John Parlin relocated to Maine by the year 1788 and
he was said to have died on March 25, 1806 at Norridgewock, Somerset County, Maine
PA22.
Mary
and John may have been the parents of Amos Parlin,
who was said to have been born about 1721 in Concord, Middlesex County,
Massachusetts PA22. Amos Parlin of Concord and Esther Davis of Acton declared their
intent to marry in Acton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts on March 26, 1757 MA26. Amos and Esther Parlin were the
parents of Mary Parlin, whose birth on January 17,
1758 was recorded in Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. Amos and Esther Parlin were the
parents of five children whose births were recorded in Acton, Middlesex County,
Massachusetts MA26. These were Esther,
born on July 10, 1759, Amos, born on April 15, 1761, Lucy, born on May 16, 1763,
Isaac, born on February 5, 1765, and Olive, born on December 1, 1766 MA26.
Mary and John may have been the parents of Elizabeth Parlin, who was said to have been born about
1724 in Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts PA22. Elisabeth Parlin of Concord married Samuel Kibby
of Concord on January 14, 1745 in a ceremony officiated by Reverend Daniel
Bliss MA26. Elizabeth and Samuell Kibbe were the
parents of three children whose births were recorded in the District of
Carlisle, which was (from April 1754 until January 1757) a separate area which
was at the north end of Concord MA26.
These children were Betty Kibbe, born on July 18, 1746, Molley
Kibbe, born on April 22, 1751, and Bulah Kibbe, born
on October 21, 1753 MA26.
They were also said to have been the parents of Miriam, born about 1759, and
Sally, born about 1763 PA22.
Lydia
Parlin, the daughter of John and
Mary Parlin, was born on September 7, 1730 in
Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26.
Esther
Parlin, the daughter of John and
Mary Parlin, was born on March 13, 1732/3 in Concord,
Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26.
The records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts state that Esther Parlin, Jr. and Jacob Melven, both of Concord, were married on April 26, 1757 by
Justice Whiting MA26. Esther and Jacob Melven were the parents of three children whose births were
recorded in Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. These were Lucy, born on November 13, 1757, Pircis, born on February 15, 1759, and Ruben, born on
November 12, 1760 MA26.
Stephen
Parlin, the son of John and Mary Parlin, was born on August 18, 1735 in Concord, Middlesex
County, Massachusetts MA26.
Stephen Parlin, a yeoman of Temple, Hillsborough
County, New Hampshire, died intestate without “kindred within the State of New
Hampshire and no person nearer of kindred than brother’s and sister’s
children”, and so the administration of his estate was granted to Aaron Barnes
on July 18, 1821 NE25. A photograph of his
gravestone (which can be viewed on the Find a Grave website) states that
Stephen Parlin died at age eighty-six on July 11,
1821; his gravestone is located at East Cemetery in Temple, Hillsborough
County, New Hampshire.
Mrs. Mary Parlin,
the wife of John Parlin, Jr., died at age sixty-three
on January 5, 1754 and was buried at the Concord Burying Grounds in Concord,
Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26.
