John Heald (John, Sarah) was (as John “Held”) born to John and Sarah Held on September 19, 1666, according to the records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, which also state that John Heald married Mary Chandler on December 18, 1690 MA26. It is unclear if it was him or his father who was a witness to a deed from Richard Temple, Sr. of Concord to John Barker, Sr. of Concord on February 27, 1689, because the deed did not include the suffix of “Jr.” or “Sr.” CO43. The other two witnesses were Isaack Temple and Roger Chandler CO43. Lieutenant John Heald was in charge of a company of men from Concord who met other militia groups in Boston, Massachusetts in April 1689 for the purpose of forcibly removing Sir Edmund Andros, the Governor of the Dominion of New England, from his office and arresting him SH23. John Heald witnessed a deed from Francis Dudley of Concord to John Barker, Sr. of Concord on November 1, 1698 CO43. He purchased a farm in Concord owned by James Adams, Jr., which had been passed to him from his own father, James Adams, on November 30, 1700 MI29:

Mary Chandler (Roger, Mary) was born on January 7, 1671 MA26 or January 7, 1672 MA27 to Roger and Mary Chandler, according to the records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26, MA27. Mary Heald was called Roger Chandler’s eldest daughter in his will dated November 6, 1705 AM1. She was the mother of Mary, John, Timothy, Josiah, Elizebeth, Samuell, Amos, Ephraim, Darkas (or Dorcas), and Unice (or Eunice).
Mary Heald, the daughter of John and Mary Heald, was born on August 18, 1691, according to records from Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26.
John Heald, the son of Jno and Mary Heald, was born on August 18, 1693, according to records from Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. The similarity of his birthdate with his older sister’s birthdate may indicate that an error in recording or transcription has occurred at some point. According to the records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, John Heald married Mary sometime before the birth of their first child in 1718, as all records of their children refer to “John Heald and Mary his wife” MA26. John and Mary were the parents of nine children whose births and deaths were recorded in Concord MA26. These were Martha, born on April 4, 1718, Mary, born on June 14, 1719, John, born on February 14, 1720/21, Sarah, born on November 2, 1722, Joseph, born on September 12, 1724, Lydia, born on November 12, 1726, Oliver, who was born on July 24, 1729 and died on September 23, 1733, Dorothy, born on November 25, 1731, and Oliver, born on April 6, 1734 MA26. After the death of Mary in 1758, Deacon John Heald of Acton and Elizabeth Wright of Concord declared their intent to marry on November 10, 1759, according to the Acton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts records MA26. The Acton records also stated that Deacon John Heald died at age eighty-two on May 16, 1775 and he was buried next to Mary Heald, whose death occurred on September 1, 1758 MA26.
Timothy Heald, the son of Jno and Mary Heald, was born on June 7, 1696, according to records from Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. These were Timothy, born on October 14, 1723, Simon, born on March 7, 1724/5, Hannah, born on April 1, 1727, Stephen, born on July 18, 1729, and Thomas, born on January 14, 1731/2 MA26. The records of Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts state that Timothy Heald’s gravestone, located at the Hill Burying Ground, stated that he died at age thirty-nine years, ten months, and twenty-one days on March 28, 1736 MA26.
Josiah Heald, the son of Jno and Mary Heald, was born on February 28, 1698/9, according to records from Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. Josiah Heald wrote his will on May 8, 1733, two weeks before his death, in which he stated he was a joiner of Westford in Middlesex County who was very weak in body AM1. He bequeathed his entire estate to his daughter AM1:
I give to my Well beloved Daughter, Sarah Heald, all & Singular my Lands, & Tenements, whereof I Shall die Seised, in Possession or Reversion, & all Such Goods & psonal Estate (as may remain after ye. Elizebeth Heald, the daughter of John and Mary Heald, was born on December 12, 1701, according to records from Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts MA26. Unice Heald was called the daughter of John and Mary Heald in various documents located within the probate record for her father, John AM1. Guardianship papers dated April 10, 1723 state that Mary Heald was granted guardianship of Eunice Heald, age six, the daughter of John Heald, late of Concord who died intestate AM1.
