Richard Harrold married Mary Beals
on June 1, 1710 US11, BJ2, PE2. The first and second records of their
intent to wed were noted in the records of the Concord Monthly Meeting in
Delaware County, Pennsylvania, on March 13 and April 10, 1710, in which Richard
Harrold and Mary “Bales” were said to have both belonged to the Nottingham
Meeting US11. They married on June 1, 1710, perhaps at
the residence of Phillip Romans US11. Richard died
sometime before the marriage of Thomas Mills to his daughter, Elizabeth
Harrold, which occurred on June 18, 1730 BJ1, BJ2.
Mary Baels
(John, Mary), the daughter of John and Mary Baels, was
born on the 24th day
of the 4th month, 1692 in Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania US11. She was the mother of Elizabeth, Mary, John,
Johnathan, Mary, Rachel, and Richard.
The New Garden Monthly Meeting in Chester County,
Pennsylvania recorded that Elizabeth Harrold, the daughter of Richard
and Mary Harrold, was born on May 10, 1711 US11. The New Garden Monthly Meeting in Chester County,
Pennsylvania recorded that Mary Harrold, the daughter of Richard and Mary Harrold, was born on September 28, 1713 US11. She may
have died prior to 1718, when another daughter of Richard and Mary was born and
named Mary Harrold. The New Garden Monthly Meeting in Chester
County, Pennsylvania recorded that John Harrold, the son of Richard and Mary Harrold, was born on December
21, 1714 US11. The New Garden Monthly Meeting in Chester County,
Pennsylvania recorded that Johnathan Harrold, the son of Richard and Mary Harrold, was born on January
20, 1717 US11. Another
record stated that Jonathan Harrold, the son of Richard and Mary, was born on the
15th day of the 5th
month, 1723 US11. Jonathan was named
in the will of his maternal grandfather, John Beals,
which was dated October 11, 1726 PE7.
Jonathan Harrold was received to the Cane Creek Monthly Meeting in Orange
County (now Alamance County), North Carolina on “1752, 5, 2” on a certificate
dated “1751, 7, 2” from the Hopewell Monthly Meeting in Virginia HI4. He may have married Catharan and may
have been the father of Hannah, called the daughter of Jonithan
and Catharan Harrold, who was born on January 17,
1764 US11. The New Garden Monthly Meeting in Chester
County, Pennsylvania recorded that Mary Harrold, the daughter of Richard and Mary Harrold, was born on November 19, 1718 US11.
The New Garden Monthly Meeting in Chester County,
Pennsylvania recorded that Rachel Harrold, the daughter of Richard and Mary Harrold, was born on April 9, 1721 US11. Rachell was named in the will of her maternal grandfather, John Beals, which was dated October 11, 1726 PE7. Rachel Harrold married Hur Mills, the son of John Mills BJ2. The records of the New Garden Monthly Meeting in Guilford
County, North Carolina state that Rachel and Hur
Mills were the parents of seven children US11.

day, 9th month, 1739 (old style) or the 11th day, 11th
month, 1739 (new style), Michael, born on the 10th day, 12th
month, 1742/3 (old style) or the 22nd
day, 2nd month, 1743 (new style), Jemimah, born on the 26th day, 10th
month, 1746, (old style) or the 7th
day, 12th month, 1746 (new style), Micajah,
born on the 19th day, 11th month, 1748/9 (old style) or the 31st day, 1st
month, 1749 (new style), Amos, born on July 7, 1752, Elizabeth, born on
December 24, 1754, and Rachel, born on December 25, 1758 US11. Rachel was mentioned in the will of her husband dated November 24, 1761 NO16.
Richard
Harrold was named as a minor child of Mary Harrold in the will of his
maternal grandfather, John Beals, which was dated
October 11, 1726 PE7.
Mary Harrold was named in her father’s will dated October 11, 1726 in which her four minor children, Elizabeth, Rachell, Jonathan, and Richard, were also mentioned PE7. She died sometime after the wedding of her daughter, Elizabeth Harrold, to Thomas Mills on on June 18, 1730, when at that time she was called a widow BJ1.
