John Clark married Elizabeth TH46. John Brooks Threlfall posited that he may have been the son of Thomas Clark, a husbandman of Hingham, Norfolk County, England who wrote his will in 1593 TH46. This 1593 will mentioned a wife, Elizabeth, and children, Valentine, Stephen, John, Elizabeth, and Margaret TH46. It is unclear if or how John Clark may have been related to an individual named Austen Clark, who was buried on February 13, 1625 in Hingham, Norfolk County, England NO11. After the death of “Elsabeth Clarke” in 1602, but prior to 1615, John Clark married an individual named Mary MA67.
Sometime prior to May 6, 1615, John Clarke and his wife, Mary, deeded four messuages, four tofts, and four gardens in Hingham, which were twelve acres of land, to Anthony and Margaret Cowper, Edward and Mary Gilman, Rebecca Clarke, Jane Clarke, and Alice Clarke MA67. This was discussed in the manorial court rolls for Hingham, Norfolk County, England, which were written in Latin (which was heavily abbreviated) and later microfilmed MA67. This particular page was filmed slightly out of focus so it was a bit blurry, so only the most pertinent portions of this record were transcribed and very roughly translated into English MA67:

John Clarke was buried on June 6, 1615 in Hingham, Norfolk County, England NO11.
Elizabeth was probably the mother of Sara, Margaret, Mary, Jane, and Rebecka Clark TH46.
On the first page of the Hingham record book, a burial record stated “Sara Clarke the daughter of John Clark was buried the xxj daie of Januarie” NO11. This first page of records did not include the year, but the following page continues with records of events in February and March, after which there was a line drawn across the page with “1600” written below the line NO11. It is likely that Sara Clarke was buried on January 21, 1599/1600.
Marget Clark married Antony Cooper on July 25, 1609 in Hingham, Norfolk County, England NO11. Antonye “Coop” was the father of three children whose baptisms were recorded in Hingham, Norfolk, England NO11. These were John Cooper, baptized on February 10, 1610/11, a son whose name may have been Antonye Coop (the record was faded in the top left corner where his name was written), who was baptized on December 19, 1613, and Jeremye Coop, who was baptized on April 21, 1616 NO11. “Marget the wife of Antonye Coop” was buried on September 6, 1617 in Hingham, Norfolk County, England NO11. Anthony Cooper relocated to Hingham, Suffolk County, Massachusetts TH46.
Marye Clark married Edward Gillman on June 3, 1614 in Hingham, Norfolk County, England NO11. Edward Gillman (or Gilman) was the father of ten children whose baptisms and burials were recorded in Hingham, Norfolk County, England NO11. These were Mary Gillman, baptized on August 6, 1615, Edward Gilman, baptized on December 26, 1617, Moses and Josuah Gillman, who were each baptized on September 15th but buried on September 16th in 1619, Sarah Gillman, baptized on January 19, 1622/23, John Gillman, baptized on May 23, 1626, Moses Gillman, baptized on March 11, 1630/31, Daniell Gillman, baptized on August 24, 1633, Elizabeth Gillman, baptized on September 28, 1634, and Jeremiah, whose baptism record was not located but who was buried on August 19, 1635 NO11. Edward Gillman was also called the father of Lidya Gillman, who married Daniel Cushing, the son of Mathew Cushing, Sr. on June 19, 1645 in Hingham, Suffolk County, Massachusetts in a ceremony officiated by Mr. Joseph Pecke MA26. Edward Gilman and Mrs. Mary Gilman of Hingham, Norfolk County, along with Edward, Moses, Lydia, Sarah, and John Gilman emigrated from Ipswich, Suffolk, England to New England on the ship Diligent, arriving in Boston, Massachusetts on August 10, 1638 BA13.
Edward Gilman relocated to Hingham, Suffolk County, Massachusetts TH46 and later Exeter, old Norfolk County, Massachusetts (now in Rockingham County, New Hampshire) AM1, OL1. An abstract of an old Norfolk County deed which was witnessed by John Ted and Mary Pettitt stated that on January 14, 1654/5, “Edward Gilman of Exiter deeds to his loving wife Mary Gyllman and his two sons John Gyllman and Moses Gyllman £30, houes, lands, goods, etc., 14: 11: 1654” OL1. Later that year on April 10, 1655 (“10: 2 mo: 1655”), Mary Gillman was called the widow of Edward Gillman, Sr., late of Exeter, and she was appointed by the Salisbury court as the administratrix of his estate OL1. This indicates that his death occurred between January and April in 1655. The inventory of the estate of Edward Gillman, deceased, of Exeter, old Norfolk County, was conducted later in 1655, because Mary Gillman testified on October 2, 1655 that it was a “true Inventory of hir husband Edward Gillmans estate to hir best knowledg: in ye Court held at Hampton ye 2d of ye 8th mo 55” AM1. The inventory stated that he had “houses and lands midow at Exeter” which were worth twenty-seven pounds, in addition to four sums of money held by three sons and himself AM1. His son (son-in-law), “John Levite” at Hingham and his son (son-in-law), “danyell cusines” each held eleven pounds AM1. His son, “mosis gillman” held £100, and he owned £62 in goods and debts, for a total valuation of his estate of £211 AM1. Another document in his probate record stated AM1:

A deed signed by John and Moses Gillman which was dated January 8, 1663 in Exeter and witnessed by Humphrey Wilson and Richard Croade was partially transcribed with an abstract (probably by George Ernest Bowman) and has been reproduced below PL12:
